The Concept
In May 2018, The Gemmary orchestrated a full-day photoshoot to populate our new website with amazing visuals. The concept was to make antique jewelry appealing to future generations. People often misunderstand antique jewelry as only for their grandmothers and not for young, stylish individuals. We set out to prove them wrong! This shoot incorporates urban and natural, old and young, boho and high fashion, set in Colorado’s glorious natural beauty.

The Photoshoot
With the help of producer Anthony Chavez, we slowly began assembling an excellent crew to make our mission happen. Kyle Panis, the photographer du jour, was the first to come aboard and quickly found the amazingly talented stylist Avery Ashmore, @averysaystyles.

Over the next few months, they collaborated with Creative Director Dani Chavez, who decided on a “make old, new” concept for the photoshoot. Dani and Kyle scouted for shoot locations throughout the county of Boulder to find the proper settings to accent the vintage revival theme.

Kyle found our three lovely models to complete our fantastic team: Alexis @alexismoonmaurer, Alexandra @aalexaanddraa, and Kenna @kennaxsky. These women were highly talented and embodied the vintage style we were going for. They rocked the beautiful outfits Avery brought along and even threw in a few surprise pieces… like Alexis’s crazy cool gold cowboy boots!

We traveled all over Boulder, from beautiful Boulder Creek to the alleyways of the historic district. No amount of crazy bicycle gangs and break-dancing gawkers would stop us! Things got crazy occasionally, but the crew’s energy made the shoot an incredible success. We got some great shots, and a bond formed between everyone, making the day very special.

Thank you to everyone involved; you rock!
