Emanating with Victorian elegance, this gorgeous ring from the late Aesthetic period displays robin’s egg blue Persian turquoise intertwined with bright white natural seed pearls. The prong set gemstones pop against the glistening rose gold, and the unique double-ribbed band adds a sense of design. A beautiful ring for December or June babies!
Blue was the favorite color of Queen Victoria, so Persian turquoise and blue enamel were favored during her reign.
The ring is in very good to excellent antique condition with minor signs of wear. The surface of the gold and stones have fine lines under magnification but nothing visible or noticeable. The stones are all secure in the setting and do not wiggle. The prongs are a little worn but do not need to be re-tipped for a while, and I wouldn’t wear this ring every day or while doing household activities. The ring is not marked or stamped so I acid tested the metal to be 14K gold. I also examined the stones under magnification and determined the pearls are natural seed pearls, and the turquoise is not treated.
The ring is a size 7 and can be sized. The box is for display only.
I try to show in my photographs an accurate picture of the item, and in the written description. Please take note of the size given in the description, as images can often appear more substantial than the actual object.
