Description
Steeped in history, this wonderful buckle ring from Birmingham was crafted in 1883 from silver. Buckle jewelry was wildly popular in the Victorian era, symbolizing a bond between giver and receiver. A lovely antique ring to give to a loved one!
The ring is in very good antique condition with minimal signs of wear. The surface of the silver has fine lines and marks, mainly on the interior shank. The silver has a moderate to dark layer of patina that could be polished upon request. The shank is stamped W star B (maker’s mark), lion passant (sterling silver), anchor (Birmingham), and the letter I (date mark for 1883).
The ring is a size 8.5 and can be sized. The ring is 1/4″ wide and weighs 2.98 grams. The box is for display only.
I try to accurately portray the item in the description and images. Please note the measurements in the details section, as the item can appear more significant than the actual size.
