An adorable ornate 1880s Victorian gold-filled and black enamel brooch. The enameling technique is called Émail de Taille d’Épargne (from French: taille = “engraving”; épargner = “to save”). The lovely enamel scroll work resembles vines and flowers. A great antique bar pin to add to your collection.
The brooch is in very good antique condition with minimal signs of wear. The gold filled has a few signs of wear, a few tiny spots of tarnish on the back, but nothing noticeable or obvious. The enamel is not damaged or chipped. There is a tiny hook on the back that could be used as a bail.
The pin measures 1-3/4″ long and 3/8″ wide and weighs 4.88 grams. The box is for display only.
Please note the measurements in the details section, as the item can appear more significant than the actual size. Shipping is combined on multiple orders.
