Description
These cluster Bohemian garnet and silver earrings, crafted in the 1910s, shimmer with Edwardian appeal. These classic screw-back earrings are set with 14 rose-cut pyrope garnets, prong-set in a floral motif. They’re a great pair of red garnet earrings that glow and sparkle in the sunlight!
Bohemian garnets came from the hills of Bohemia in Czechoslovakia and were very popular from the 1820s to the 1920s with the European upper class. To learn more about Bohemian garnets, read our blog post here:
The earrings are in very good antique condition with minimal signs of wear. Under magnification, the silver and garnets have a few tiny nicks and signs of abrasion on the facet junctions, but nothing noticeable. The garnets have no chips or cracks, and they are all securely set into the setting. A GIA Graduate Gemologist tested the stones.
The earrings measure 11/16″ tall and 1/2″ wide; they weigh 2.62 grams. The box is for display only.
