This stunning Edwardian armlet is encrusted with 31 rose-cut round Bohemian garnets in a floral motif. The open-backed setting allows for more light to filter through and into the garnets, making them glow! The hinged bracelet is easy to put on and secures with a shovel slide clasp and safety chain. A remarkable bracelet from the 1910s!
Bohemian garnets came from Bohemia’s hills in Czechoslovakia and were very popular from the 1820s to 1920s with the European upper class. Michelle Obama just recently purchased a bohemian garnet brooch during her last visit to Prague.

The bangle is in very good antique condition with minimal signs of wear. The gilt’s surface shows fine lines, marks, and small dents on the inside but nothing noticeable or obvious. The hinge and slide clasp is fully functional and secures well. The garnets are not chipped, cracked, or loose in the setting and were examined by a GIA Graduate Gemologist. The piece is not stamped or marked.
The bangle measures 6-3/4″ long and 5/8″ and weighs 15.76 grams. The box is for display only.
