This classic early-Art Deco ring is set with a 1.42-carat rectangular-cut zircon set into 10K white gold. The white gold is crafted into lacy, delicate filigree work, creating a feminine feel! A lovely antique ring to add to your collection!
Zircon is a natural gemstone and is NOT cubic zirconia which is manufactured. In the Middle Ages, zircon was thought to drive away evil spirits, promote sound sleep and bring riches, honor, and wisdom. Zircon was popular in Victorian to Art deco jewelry as a diamond simulant.
The ring is in good antique condition with minimal signs of wear. The surface of the zircon has a few nicks and abraded junctions, but nothing noticeable or distracting. The gold’s surface has a few fine lines and marks, which are typical of antique pieces. The shank is thin and is stamped 10K A&S. The filigree is not bent or broken.
The ring is a size 4.5, can be sized, and weighs 1.25 grams. The zircon measures 6 mm x 5.1 mm x 3.8 mm and weighs 1.42 carats. The box is for display only.
