Description
Glistening with 26 rose-cut garnets, this gorgeous gilt cluster ring absolutely sparkles on your finger. The three larger rose-cut garnets are framed by smaller garnets that catch the light from every angle. Made in the 1930s in Czechoslovakia, these garnets have a reputation for an inner glow!
Bohemian garnets came from Bohemia’s hills in Czechoslovakia and were very popular from the 1820s to 1920s with the European upper class. To learn more about Bohemian garnets, read our blog post here:
The ring is in very good vintage condition with minimal signs of wear. The garnets are in very good condition, none are cracked or chipped, but some have tiny nicks on the facet junctions under magnification. The garnets do not wiggle and are secure in the mounting. The surface of the gilt shows fine lines and marks typical of vintage jewelry. Someone has etched MTS #23 on the back sometime in the past and also stamped CZECHOSLOVAKIA. A GIA Graduate Gemologist examined the stones.
The ring is a size 6.5 and cannot be sized. The head measures 1″ tall and 7/16″ wide, and the ring weighs 3.70 grams. The box is for display only.
