Rendered in the 1960s in Czechoslovakia, these beautiful rose-cut Bohemian garnet stud earrings are very eye-catching. Pyrope garnets are well known for their ability to catch the light and glow from within, making these a great pair of earrings for all occasions.
Bohemian garnets came from Bohemia’s hills in Czechoslovakia and were very popular from the 1820s to 1920s with the European upper class. Michelle Obama just recently purchased a bohemian garnet brooch during her last visit to Prague.

The earrings are in very good vintage condition with minor signs of wear. The gilt’s surface shows typical wear, fine lines, and marks, but nothing noticeable or visible. The threaded posts are fully functional and are stamped G (Granat Turnov maker’s mark) and a rabbit’s head (Czech silver mark). The garnets are not chipped or cracked and do not wiggle in the mounting. A GIA Graduate Gemologist examined the 6 garnets.
The earrings measure 1/4″ tall and wide and weigh 1.24 grams. The box is for display only.
