Description
These marquise-cut peridot earrings are prong set into 10K yellow gold and were crafted in the 1990s. The yellowish-green peridots contrast nicely with the glowing gold. An excellent gift for an August baby!
Peridot is the Arabic word “faridat,” which means gem. The Egyptians referred to it as the “gem of light,” throughout history, the stone has always been associated with light. Wearers of peridot believe that the stone will protect them from evil and the terrors of the night.
The earrings are in very good vintage condition with minimal signs of wear. The peridot is in great condition with no chips out of the girdle or table, and it has a lovely color. The earrings are not stamped or marked, and the gold was tested.
The earrings measure 8mm x 4mm and weigh 0.68 carats. They weigh 0.89 grams, and the box is for display only.
