Antique 1880s Late Victorian Rose Cut Bohemian Garnet and Gilt Large Circle Statement Brooch

This exquisite, large Bohemian garnet circle brooch was made in the 1880s. The 253 rose-cut Czech pyrope garnets are arranged in a ripple pattern that shines and sparkles in the sunlight. It‘s a perfect antique statement brooch to enhance your collection!

The brooch is in excellent antique condition with minimal signs of wear. The gilt shows signs of wear mainly on the back, including solder marks and wear on the metal, which are not visible when wearing the piece. The garnets have a few tiny nicks at the facet junctions under magnification. There are no significant chips or cracks in the garnets; five tiny garnets are missing. The piece has no marks or stamps, and the C-clasp is fully functional.

The brooch is 2" long and wide and weighs 13.17 grams. The box is for display only.
