Designed to commemorate a lost loved one, this historic flip fob pendant is accented with a 5mm seed pearl set into the yellow gold-filled metal. The metal is decorated with black enamel in mid-Victorian designs. The back compartment is filled with dark brown fabric and could hold a small keepsake. Dripping in Victorian elegance, this would make a wonderful addition to your antique collection.
The necklace is in good antique condition with some signs of wear. The black background of the front has a few tiny chips out of it. This is most noticeable in reflected light. The black enamel has a few small pits near the corners. The glass has a few fine lines and scratches, but nothing noticeable. The pendant flips fine, and the back compartment can be opened carefully. The pearl is natural and not damaged. The chain is not original and stamped 1/20 12K GF. There are a few areas of wear on the gold fill on the back.
The necklace is 29" long, the pendant is 2" tall and 1-1/2" wide, and weighs 16.45 grams. The box is for display only.
