Antique 1880s Late Victorian Czech Bohemian Garnet and Gilt Three Star Celestial Unisex Brooch

This beautiful Bohemian garnet three-star brooch was crafted in the late 1880s. The 27 rose-cut garnets are arranged in a classic Victorian star motif, symbolizing guidance and wisdom. It is a perfect unisex pin that glows and sparkles in the sunlight!

The brooch is in excellent antique condition with minimal signs of wear. The gilt shows some wear, mainly on the back, which isn't visible when wearing the piece. A few garnets have tiny nicks on the facet junctions under magnification. There are no significant chips or cracks in the garnets, and they are all securely set into the gilt (a layer of gold over a base of silver). The piece bears no marks or stamps, and the c-clasp is fully functional.

The brooch measures 1-1/2" in length and 5/8" in width, weighing 2.78 grams. The box is for display only.
