Antique 1890s Late Victorian Bohemian Garnet and Gilt Cluster Starburst 18" Necklace

The necklace is in good antique condition with some signs of wear. The gilded silver shows wear, mainly on the back, which is not visible when worn. A few garnets have tiny nicks and signs of abrasion at the facet junctions under magnification. The garnets do not have significant chips or cracks. The pendant has no marks or stamps; the chain is a gold-filled replacement. The piece has been converted from a brooch to a pendant. There is a small raised silver area on the back where the hinge used to be. 

The necklace is 18" long, the pendant is 1-1/8" tall and wide, and it weighs 5.52 grams. The box is for display only.
