These cluster Bohemian garnet and silver earrings, crafted in the 1910s, shimmer with Edwardian charm. These classic screw-back earrings are set with 14 rose-cut pyrope garnets, prong-set in a floral design. They‘re a wonderful pair of red garnet earrings that glow and sparkle in the sunlight!
Bohemian garnets originated from the hills of Bohemia in Czechoslovakia and were highly sought after by the European upper class from the 1820s to the 1920s. To learn more about Bohemian garnets, read our blog post here.
The earrings are in excellent antique condition, showing only minor signs of wear. Under magnification, the silver and garnets have a few tiny nicks and signs of abrasion at the facet junctions, but they are not noticeable. The garnets are free of chips or cracks and are all securely set in the mounting.
The earrings measure 11/16" tall and 1/2" wide, weighing 2.62 grams. The box is for display only.
