Zircon is a natural gemstone, not lab-created cubic zirconia. It was very popular in Victorian to Art Deco jewelry as a diamond simulant. In the Middle Ages, zircon was thought to drive away evil spirits, promote sound sleep, and bring riches, honor, and wisdom.
The ring is in very good vintage condition with minimal signs of wear. The surface of the gold has fine lines and marks, nothing noticeable or obvious. The zircon is not chipped or cracked and is secure in the mounting. The shank is stamped 14K and is not bent or warped. A GIA Graduate Gemologist tested the zircon. Zircon is a softer gemstone, so this is not an everyday ring.
