The W & H jewelry company made this beautiful expansion bracelet in the 1940s. The gold-filled ribbon bracelet links are lightly decorated with elegant Edwardian floral designs and orangish-red enamel. This is a great piece of jewelry history that stretches to fit most wrist sizes!
The W & H Jewelry Company was established in 1856 Providence, Rhode Island. In 1937, they began marking their expansion bracelets "Harwood" and added "Leading Lady" in 1940. They manufactured jewelry until the mid-1960s.
The bracelet is in very good condition for its age, with minimal signs of wear. The stretchy bracelet is still tight and retracts to its original shape if expanded. The metal has a few fine lines and marks, but nothing noticeable or obvious. The inside is marked HARWOOD LEADING LADY.
The band is 1-1/4" wide, and the bracelet can stretch from 5" to 9" in length and weighs 62.85 grams.
