This is a stunning vintage red garnet cluster pendant from the 1950s. The 13 rose-cut garnets catch the light from every angle, drawing attention to the elegant cluster design. The open-backed setting lets sunlight pass through these pyrope garnets, giving them their characteristic "inner glow."
The necklace is in very good vintage condition with minimal signs of wear. The garnets are in very good condition; none are cracked or chipped, but some have tiny nicks on the facet junctions under magnification. The bail is stamped NORM, which is a German company that sourced Czech garnets. The gold-filled chain is a replacement.
The necklace is 17" long, the pendant measures 1" tall and 9/16" wide, and it weighs 4.15 grams. The box is for display only.
