Vintage 1960s GRANAT TURNOV Bohemian Garnet Star Cluster Pendant 20" Necklace

This stunning vintage Bohemian garnet necklace features 13 rose-cut pyrope garnets set in sterling silver. The cluster of garnets captures sunlight and radiates from within, beautifully contrasting with the sparkling metal. Made in the 1960s, this exquisite garnet necklace is perfect for January birthdays or garnet enthusiasts!

Bohemian garnets originated from the hills in Czechoslovakia and were highly sought after by the European upper class from the 1820s to the 1920s.

The necklace is in very good condition with minor signs of wear. The garnets are in excellent shape, with no significant chips or cracks, and are securely set. Under magnification, the garnets display tiny nicks at their facet junctions. The pendant is stamped with 925 (sterling silver), G (Granat Turnov hallmark).

The necklace is 20" long, and the pendant measures 1/2" tall and 3/8" wide, weighing 2.68 grams. The box is for display only.
