Elevate your jewelry collection with this exquisite vintage Wedgwood choker necklace/brooch combo from the 1970s. Crafted in iconic blue jasperware, the oval pendant features a delicate depiction of a woman holding a basket of flowers, framed by intricate silver ropework. This timeless piece may depict either Persephone or Demeter, adding a touch of classical mythology to its already captivating design. Perfect for enhancing any ensemble, it brings vintage charm to your look.

Wedgwood jewelry dates back to the late 18th century, pioneered by Josiah Wedgwood. Initially popular among the aristocracy, its elegant designs and classical motifs have endured through the centuries. From Queen Charlotte‘s patronage to modern adaptations, Wedgwood jewelry remains prized for its timeless elegance and historical significance.

The pin/pendant is in good vintage condition with some signs of wear. The ceramic isn‘t cracked or chipped and is secure in the mounting. The back is stamped WEDGWOOD MADE IN ENGLAND 77 and has the Wedgwood maker‘s mark.

The necklace is 15-1/2" long; the brooch measures 2" tall and 1-1/8" wide and weighs 14.30 grams. The necklace comes with the original box in the photographs.
