Gadolinium Gallium Garnet (GGG) was invented in 1975 and is produced by the Czochralski pulling method of synthesis. GGG is used as a diamond simulant and, along with cubic zirconia, is prevalent in jewelry.
The ring is in very good vintage condition with minimal signs of wear. There are a few light signs of wear on the metal's surface, but nothing noticeable or distracting. The band is stamped 18KT HGE and has an unknown maker's mark.
The ring is a size 7.25 and cannot be sized. The stone is 6mm wide, and the ring weighs 3.39 grams. The box is for display only.
