Taxco silver is highly coveted and collectible, known for its high-quality craftsmanship in each piece. Taxco is a small town nestled between Acapulco and Mexico City, with a long history of mining. In the late 1920s, a highway was finally built to reach Taxco, allowing William Spratling, an American, to discover the town and see the potential in its artisan community. He invited skilled metalworkers to apprentice young artists, and soon the world recognized the exceptional craftsmanship of the jewelry produced.
