Larimer Stone, more commonly known as Larimar, was discovered in 1974 in the Dominican Republic and is prized for its rare blue coloration reminiscent of the Caribbean Sea. Its use in jewelry quickly grew in popularity during the late 20th century, becoming a signature gemstone of the region and a sought-after material for artisan and designer pieces.
The ring is in very good vintage condition with minimal signs of wear. The ring is stamped 925 for sterling silver. There is a light patina layer that can be polished upon request.
