Kenneth Jay Lane began his work in 1963 after he graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design. He studied under Hattie Carnegie and began his work designing shoes for Christian Dior. He skyrocketed into the costume jewelry industry when designing for Elizabeth Taylor, Jackie Kennedy, and Audrey Hepburn.

The necklace is in very good vintage condition with minimal signs of wear. The metal‘s surface has a few light areas of wear, mostly on the clasp, but nothing noticeable or obvious. The lobster clasp is stamped KJL CHINA.

The necklace adjusts from 16" - 18" and is 1-1/4" wide, and weighs 98.07 grams.
