Awesome, vintage pair of Swank cuff links from the 1960s with an elongated brown faux leather crocodile or alligator skin set into the gold-tone metal. Great mid-century example of design!
Swank was founded in 1897 in Attleboro, MA, and originally specialized in men‘s and women‘s costume jewelry. During WWI, they switched to manufacturing dog tags, and post-war, they decided only to make men‘s accessories.
The cuff links are in good condition, with minor signs of wear on the metal along the edges and the back. The torpedo toggles are fully functional. There is a little scuff mark on the leather on one cufflink, but nothing noticeable or distracting. The cufflinks are secured with torpedo toggles, and the backs are stamped SWANK.
The cufflinks measure 1" tall and 5/16" wide.
