The Gemmary’s First Photoshoot!

The Concept

This past May, The Gemmary orchestrated a full-day photoshoot to populate our new website with amazing visuals. The concept was to make antique jewelry appealing to the next generations. People have a common misconception about antique jewelry, that it is only for their grandmothers and not a young, stylish individual. We set out to prove them wrong! This shoot incorporates urban and nature, old and young, boho, and high fashion set in Colorado’s glorious natural beauty.

The Photoshoot

With the help of producer Anthony Chavez, we slowly began wrangling a wonderful crew to make our mission happen.  Kyle Panis @kylepanis, photographer du jour, was the first to come aboard and quickly found the amazingly talented stylist Avery Ashmore @averysaystyles.

Over the next few months, they collaborated with Creative Director Dani Chavez, who decided on a “make old, new” concept for the photoshoot. Dani and Kyle scouted for shoot locations all over the Boulder, CO area to find the right settings to accent the vintage revival theme.

To complete our wonderful team, Kyle found our three lovely models, Alexis @alexismoonmaurer, Alexandra @aalexaanddraa, and Kenna @kennaxsky. Not only were these women highly talented, but they also embodied the vintage style we were going for. They rocked the beautiful outfits Avery brought along and even threw in a few surprise pieces… like Alexis’s crazy cool gold cowboy boots!

We traveled all over Boulder from beautiful Boulder Creek down to the alleyways of the historic district. No amount of crazy bicycle gangs and break-dancing gawkers were going to stop us! Things got crazy from time to time, but the crew’s energy made the shoot a wonderful success. Not only did we get some great shots, but also a bond formed between everyone, making the day very special.

The final shot of the production

Thank you to everyone involved, you rock!
