Greetings and Welcome to The Gemmary!

“Gemmary” is defined as the science of gems, and it is this fascinating, artful science that holds an endless fascination with me. The name Gem(Mary) is also an homage to the five generations of women named Mary before me, including my wonderful mother.

Founded by a GIA Graduate Gemologist

Each item that The Gemmary curates is extensively tested to ensure authenticity and quality is genuine.

All jewelry is examined by:

GIA (Gemological Institute of America) Graduate Gemologist, the most trusted credential in the jewelry industry.
Certified Cultured Pearl Specialist by the CPAA (Cultured Pearl Association of America).
Trained jewelry historian by Christie’s luxury education.

What The Gemmary is about…

The Gemmary opened in the Fall of 2015 on Etsy and has been a part of the antique jewelry industry for 5 years. In the Spring of 2017, Etsy selected The Gemmary to represent their voice to members of the House and the Senate about micro business owners’ issues. Etsy selected The Gemmary’s story to be featured in their 2017 Crafting the Future of Work: The Big Impact of Microbusinesses. In 2018 The Gemmary expanded to Ruby Lane and opened www.thegemmary.com.

The Gemmary strives to offer beautiful pieces of history to own, without over-charging.
