Description
This gorgeous, hand-crafted monochromatic purse made in the late Victorian era features iridescent glass beads in a cascading looped fringe pattern. The purse closes with a brass chain drawstring that also acts as the handle. The sparkling beads pop against the very dark blue, almost black silk from the 1890s. A gorgeous antique purse for a night out on the town!
The purse is in good to very good antique condition. It is rare to find a beaded bag this old with no damage to the beads. There are no broken strings or missing beads. The brass has light wear and tarnish but nothing noticeable or distracting. The drawstring is fully functional, and the lining is not torn, ripped, or stained.
The bag weighs 0.40 pounds and measures 8″ tall and 5″ wide.
