Description
This gorgeous ring from the 1930s is set with sparkling marcasite and a glowing faceted oval cut piece of blue glass. Marcasite is faceted iron pyrite and was once referred to as “brilliants” in the Jazz era because they sparkled in the candlelight. A beautiful Art Deco ring to add to your collection!
The ring is in very good vintage condition with minimal signs of wear. There are no missing or chipped marcasites, and the glass cabochon is intact and firmly secure. The glass has some abraded facet junctions and light scratches on the table. These are not noticeable while wearing; please refer to the video to see these. The shank is stamped STERLING. There is a moderate patina layer that can be polished upon request.
The ring is a size 4 and can be sized. The ring measures 1″ by 13/16″ and weighs 6.84 grams. The box is for display only.
