Description
This is gorgeous and sparkly, this vintage 1930s marcasite and sterling silver figural fern brooch. The surface is encrusted with rose-cut marcasite set into shiny silver. The sparkling marcasites are faceted iron sulfite and were called “brilliants” in the Art Deco era. A wonderful vintage brooch for Spring and Summertime!
The brooch is in very good vintage condition with minimal signs of wear. The surface of the silver and marcasite shows fine lines and marks typical of vintage jewelry. The piece shows a light patina layer that can be polished upon request. There are no missing, pitted, or chipped marcasites. The piece is stamped STERLING E.I.F., a maker’s mark for FRANKLIN, E.I. & C.O.
The brooch measures 1-1/16″ tall and wide and weighs 3.63 grams. The box is for display only.
