Description
Check out this simple and elegant round-cut blue zircon ring with a 1.91-carat centerpiece, two single-cut diamonds, and a 1930s Art Deco floral design in white and yellow 10K gold. A great Art Deco ring for December birthdays!
Zircons have a long and colorful history in jewelry. These gemstones have been used in adornments for centuries, dating back to ancient civilizations such as Greece and Persia. Over time, zircons have evolved in popularity, finding prominence in various jewelry styles and eras, from the Victorian period to the Art Nouveau era, owing to their diverse colors and enduring appeal in jewelry design.
The ring is in good vintage condition with some noticeable signs of wear. The gold has fine lines and marks from years of wear; this is typical on vintage jewelry. The shank is stamped 10K and a maker’s mark. The zircon is heavily abraded on the facet junctions and is slightly loose in the setting. The zircon is natural and heat-treated. A GIA Graduate Gemologist tested the gems.
The ring is a size 5.75; it can be sized and weighs 2.60 grams. The zircon measures 7mm x 7mm x 4.6mm and weighs 1.91 carats. The two diamonds are mm each and weigh 0.01 carats in total. The box is for display only.
