Description
Crafted during the 1930s, this beautiful brass and glass dress clip has a wonderful character. The scrolls and flowers add a little design to the piece. A lovely vintage dress clip to accessorize any dress, shirt, purse, or shoes!
Originally invented by Cartier, dress clips were introduced in the 1920s and were widely popular in the 1930s and 40s. Modeled after a simple clothespin, a dress clip can be used to accentuate the neckline or a shirt or dress but can also be used on shawls, wraps, coats, and sweaters.
The clip is in very good vintage condition with minimal signs of wear. The metal shows signs of wear from its age with very light lines and marks on the back. The glass is not chipped or cracked, and the back is stamped PAT 1852188. The clip is fully functional.
The dress clip measures 2″ tall and 1″ wide and weighs 11.81 grams. The box is for display only.
