This stunning Victorian revival ring features a glowing ruby and diamond cluster in 10K yellow gold. The vibrant ruby sparkles and glows in the sunlight. It’s a beautiful vintage ring from the 1930s to add to your collection!
Ruby is considered one of the “Big 3” gemstones and is part of the corundum gem family. The rich, bluish-red hue that rubies are known for comes from trace amounts of chromium in the crystal lattice. Rubies are associated with the three fire signs of the zodiac and are also said to have healing properties for your entire system. Ancient peoples believed that wearing ruby would ward off all illness and disease. It was also described as a stone “of nobility,” which will help overcome conflict or controversy, and was typically worn by knights. Ruby is the birthstone for July.
The ring is in good vintage condition with minor signs of wear. The gold has a few fine lines and marks, but nothing noticeable or obvious. The shank is stamped HR.
The ring is size 7.75 and can be sized. It weighs 1.83 grams. The ruby weighs 0.84 carats, and the diamond weighs 0.03 carats. The box is for display only.
