Description
Show your family pride with this highly decorated 900 silver brooch from the 1940s. The Austrian coat of arms is the centerpiece of the pin, decorated with three black lions passant of medieval Swabia and a large knight’s helmet. The brooch’s arabesque scroll and vine decorative motif adds character and elegance. This is a fabulous statement brooch made in Vienna, Austria, to add to your collection!
The brooch is in very good vintage condition with minimal signs of wear. The surface of the silver has a few fine lines and marks, but nothing noticeable or obvious. The brooch has a dark patina layer that can be polished upon request. The modern safety clasp is fully functional. The back is stamped 900 (90% silver), a hoopoe bird’s head with 2W (Austrian 900 silver mark), and the maker’s mark KIB.
The brooch measures 1-3/8″ tall and wide and weighs 8.28 grams. The box is for display only.
