Description
This sweet and simple Bohemian garnet bow brooch from the 1970s is set with 36 rose-cut pyrope garnets in gold-washed 900 silver. This small, unisex brooch would fasten on many fabrics and styles!
Bohemian garnets came from the hills of Bohemia in Czechoslovakia and were very popular from the 1820s to 1920s with the European upper class.
The brooch is in very good vintage condition with minimal signs of wear. There are a few minor scratches on the back of the brooch. The front looks great, with no noticeable signs of wear. The pin is stamped G for Granat Turnov.
The brooch is 1-3/4″ long and 1/2″ wide and weighs 5.13 grams. The box is for display only.
I try to accurately depict the item in my photographs and the listing details. Please note the measurements in the description, as images can often make the item appear larger than the actual size.
