Description
This vintage 1980s ring catches your eye with its glowing marquise-cut yellow citrine. The 1.49-carat citrine is prong set in 9K yellow gold. It’s a great ring for a November baby!
Citrine is a yellow variety of quartz. It is the birthstone for November and the wedding gift for the 13th and 17th anniversaries. Lore has it that wearing citrine will boost your confidence and heal depressed self-esteem.
The ring is in very good vintage condition with minimal signs of wear. The surface of the gold shows fine lines and marks, typical of vintage jewelry. The citrine has tiny nicks and chips on the facet junctions under 10X magnification, but nothing noticeable with your eye. The inside of the shank is stamped CHINA 9K. The shank is not bent or warped, and the stone is secure in the mounting.
The ring is size 8.25 and can be sized. It weighs 2.55 grams. The citrine measures 10mm x 7mm x 5mm and weighs 1.49 carats. The box is for display only.
