Simple and elegant, this gorgeous pale blue 5.11-carat aquamarine is set into 14K yellow gold. The glistening gold wirework pops against the sparkly aquamarine. Crafted in the 1980s, the emerald-cut gemstone delivers excellent light return, making the ring glow. A perfect gift for a March baby!
The name aquamarine means “seawater” in Latin and is thought to contain the spirit of the ocean. Ancient sailors thought that wearing aquamarine would calm stormy seas. Aquamarine is a member of the beryl family, including heliodor and emerald, and is the birthstone for March.
The ring is in very good to excellent condition with minimal signs of wear. The surface of the gold has light marks and lines, nothing noticeable or obvious. Under magnification, the aquamarine has a few tiny nicks on the facet junctions. The stone is not chipped or cracked and is secure in the mounting. The ring is stamped 14K GTR. A GIA Graduate Gemologist tested the aquamarine.
The ring is a size 6 and can be sized and weighs 3.29 grams. The aquamarine measures 12 mm x 10 mm x 5.8 mm and weighs 5.11 carats. The box is for display only.
