Description
Elevate your style with our 14K yellow gold bead and natural Keshi pearl necklace, a stunning vintage piece from the 1990s. This single-strand necklace features 5-7mm white Keshi pearls, each with its unique charm, and is accentuated by 14K yellow gold beads for a touch of timeless elegance. Whether for special occasions or everyday wear, this necklace is a classic choice that adds a touch of vintage allure to any outfit.
Keshi pearls are renowned for their unique beauty and history. These pearls are non-nucleated and formed as byproducts when a mollusk rejects the implanted nucleus during the culturing process. Their irregular shapes and lustrous iridescence have made them highly sought after, and they have a rich history dating back centuries, with origins in ancient Japan, where the term “Keshi” means “poppy seed.”
The necklace is in very good vintage condition with minor signs of wear. The pearl’s surface, or nacre, is not chipped or cracked and shows a few natural blemishes from the formation. The natural white pearls have a slight silver overtone and good luster. The clasp is stamped 14K.
The necklace measures 20″ long, and the pearls range from 5-7mm and weigh 17.42 grams. The box is for display only.
