This sparkling heart pendant from the 1960s is set with 35 rose-cut Bohemian garnets in gold-washed metal. The small garnets are prong-set in sterling silver with a gold wash. The garnets glow and glisten in the sunlight, a perfect gift for many occasions, styles, and ages!
Bohemian garnets come from the hills of Bohemia in Czechoslovakia and were very popular among the European upper class from the 1820s to the 1920s.

The pendant is in very good vintage condition with minimal signs of wear. The gold vermeil on the back shows fine scratches and marks, typical of vintage pieces. There are no noticeable or distracting marks. The garnets are not chipped or cracked and are securely set into the piece. The bail is stamped 925 (sterling silver) G (Granat Turnov hallmark). The chain is gold-filled and not original to the piece.
The necklace is 18" long, and the pendant measures 1-3/8" tall and 3/4" wide. The necklace weighs 4.61 grams, and the box is for display only.
