Taxco silver is highly collectible and in great demand, showcasing outstanding craftsmanship in every piece. Taxco is a small town nestled between Acapulco and Mexico City, famous for its rich mining history. In the late 1920s, a highway was finally built to Taxco, allowing William Spratling, an American, to discover the town and assess the potential of its artisan community. He brought in influential metalsmiths to mentor young artists, and gradually the world began to notice the high-quality craftsmanship of their jewelry.
