Antique 1910s Morpho Menelaus Blue Butterfly Wing and Silver Bar Brooch

Unique and gorgeous, this bar brooch was crafted in the 1910s from the wing of a Morpho Menelaus butterfly and silver. The glass setting lets you see the iridescent blue butterfly wing glowing in the sunlight. It‘s a fabulous antique unisex pin to add to your collection!

The brooch is in very good antique condition with minimal signs of wear. The surface of the glass has a couple of light marks, but nothing noticeable or distracting. The butterfly wing is in excellent condition with no damage or signs of age. The back side is stamped SILVER.

The brooch measures 1-3/4" long and 9/16" wide and weighs 2.05 grams. The box is for display only.
