Monet began in the 1920s as Monocraft, a custom monographing company started by the Chernow brothers. It was in the mid-1930s that they ventured into the jewelry industry and hired lead designer Edmond Mario Granville from Cartier to propel Monet into costume jewelry royalty.
The necklace is in very good vintage condition with minimal signs of wear. The metal‘s surface has a few light areas of wear, mainly on the clasp, but nothing noticeable or obvious. The fold-over clasp is stamped MONET. The necklace is hefty, around 2 lbs.
The necklace is 28" and 1" wide.
