Vintage 1980s Metropolitan Museum of Art Vermeil Scythian Dress Ornament Brooch

This is a replica of a Scythian dress ornament from the 5th century BCE on display at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. The yellow gold vermeil shimmers and accents the detailed brooch. It's a beautiful vintage brooch to add to your collection!

The brooch is in very good vintage condition with minimal signs of wear. The surface of the gold plate is not damaged or chipped, but the back has a few spots of tarnish. The back is stamped MMA for Metropolitan Museum of Art and STERLING.

The brooch measures 1-1/8" tall and wide and weighs 6.53 grams. The box is for display only.
