Buckle jewelry was wildly popular in the Victorian era, symbolizing a bond between giver and receiver. This gorgeous late Victorian buckle sash pin was rendered in sterling silver. The elaborated chased designs in the metal give the brooch character. An excellent antique pin to add to your collection!
The brooch is in very good antique condition with minimal signs of wear. The surface of the silver has fine lines and marks and a heavy layer of patina, which can be polished upon request. The back is stamped STERLING RS 4. The c-clasp and pin are original and fully functional.
The brooch measures 1-3/4″ wide and 1″ tall and weighs 6.33 grams. The box is for display only.
