Description
Crafted in the early 1900s, this stunning Bohemian garnet bangle is set in gilt with 171 rose-cut pyrope garnets. The hinged bangle has three glistening rows of garnets that gently graduate, and the pave setting makes the bracelet glow and sparkle in the sunlight. A safety chain is attached for added security. This is a superb antique piece to add to your collection!
Bohemian garnets, which came from the hills of Bohemia in Czechoslovakia, were very popular with the European upper class from the 1820s to the 1920s.

The bangle is in very good antique condition for a few minor signs of wear. The garnets are secure in their setting; there are no missing stones. There are two garnets on the underside that are slightly chipped. There are signs of wear on the inside of the bangle, with some areas of silver peeking through. Gilt is a fine layer of gold over the silver. The box clasp and safety chain are fully functional.
The bangle is 6-3/4″ long and 1/2″ wide and weighs 22.91 grams. The box is for display only.
