This gorgeous, hand-crafted purse made in the Art Nouveau era features silver glass beads set in a pattern of alternating swags and fringes. The brass frame contrasts nicely with the silver beads and is crafted into whimsical scrollwork. The beads connect with black fabric, which makes the beads pop and glisten. The delicate lining has a wreath of glowing gold flowers. A gorgeous antique purse for a fancy night on the town!
The purse is in good to very good antique condition. The As-Is condition is from a section of the floral garland that has come off. It could easily be repaired, it just means that you have to be extra careful placing and extracting items from the purse. Otherwise, the condition is excellent. It is rare to find a beaded bag this old with no damage to the beads. There are no broken strings or missing beads. The brass has light wear and tarnish but nothing noticeable or distracting. The ball kiss clasp is fully functional and secures the purse.
The bag weighs around 1 pound and measures 13″ long with the chain, 7-1/2″ without, and 6-1/2″ wide.
