Taxco silver is highly coveted and collectible, with a high quality of craftsmanship in each piece. Taxco is a tiny town between Acapulco and Mexico City with a long mining history. In the late 1920s, a highway finally extended to Taxco, which enabled William Spratling, a gentleman from the US, to find the town and discover the potential in the artisan community. He invited great metal smiths to join him in apprenticing young artists, and the world took notice of the divine craftsmanship in the jewelry produced.

The ring is in very good vintage condition, with a dark patina in the recessed portions of the metal and a soft layer of patina, which adds to its vintage appeal. It can be polished upon request. The metal shows minimal wear and a few fine lines, which is typical of use. The band is stamped with a 3-eagle mark and a worn maker’s mark.
The ring is size 7.5 and adjustable. It measures 1-1/4″ wide and weighs 5.89 grams. The box is for display only.
