Description
This exquisite vintage ring from the 1990s features 0.21 carats of natural rubies and diamonds set in 10K yellow and white gold. It is a beautiful five-stone ring for your special day.
Ruby is considered a “Big 3” gemstone and part of the corundum gem family. Rubies are associated with the three fire signs of the zodiac and are also said to have healing properties for your entire system. Ancient peoples believed that wearing ruby would ward off all illnesses and diseases. It was also described as a stone “of nobility,” which will help overcome conflict or controversy, and was typically worn by knights.
The ring is in very good vintage condition with minimal signs of wear. The rubies are not chipped, cracked, or loose in the setting and only display tiny nicks on the facet junctions under powerful magnification. The diamonds are single-cut, natural, and measure 1mm each. The 10K gold has a few fine lines and marks but nothing noticeable or distracting. The band is stamped 10K and an unknown maker’s mark. The ruby was heat-treated, which is a standard treatment on commercial jewelry.
The ring is size 7.25, can be sized, and weighs 1.34 grams. The box is for display only.
